Liverpool Legends v Arsenal Soccer school select

Fantastic opportunity to watch some of the best ex Liverpool players in action! Prior to the event and during half time, children from the Arsenal soccer school will show off their skills in a friendly match.

250 tickets will also be available for an evening dinner and speaking event to be held at the Victoria Hotel Newquay, with the Liverpool Legends in attendance. Entertainment, food, auction and a question and answer session will also be held. Free entry to see Dirty Sanchez after the event is included -cost just £20!

The Liverpool Legends team to be confirmed will include Phil Neal, John Wark, Alan Kennedy, Paul Walsh, Jimmy Case and Jan Molby.

"Liverpool Legends, which includes such names from the past as Phil Neal, Mark Wright, Jimmy Case, John Wark and Jan Molby, will be coming to the town on Sunday August 9 and playing a specially put-together side under Hodge’s business banner - Arsenal Soccer Schools.
John said “The side Liverpool Legends will be playing will be selected by me and consist of some of the professional players I have played with in the past.
“My side will also be made up with some local names and faces from the area and I hope a few of the current Newquay team will be available”.
But there’s something even more special on the horizon for dedicated Liverpool fans - or just those who love football - the ability to actually be part of the Liverpool Legends team and play on the same pitch as them during the match.
“There will be at least four places up for grabs and I’m sure this is going to be really popular” said Hodge.
“We haven’t yet decided how we will choose the lucky few but we are looking at options which include a draw or an auction”.
In addition to the players from the Liverpool Legends showing off their skills at Mount Wise, in the evening there will be the chance to buy tickets to join them at a buffet supper evening where they will mingle and host ‘an audience with...’ style question and answer session.
“There’s still some final arrangements to put together and these will be announced very shortly” Hodge added.
“There is a great opportunity for anyone who would like to get involved in sponsoring any parts of the events.
“I played against the Liverpool Legends and Manchester United Legends when I was at Exeter City and it’s a real buzz just being on the same field as people who have played at international level and won major trophies in England and Europe”.

The Arsenal Soccer Schools 2 v 2 finals

Simply Soccer sent 7 teams of boys of all ages to the finals. The standard of football was of the highest and many of our lads competed excellently on the day, often agasinst larger and older opposition. One team made the play off finals and another would have had the goal tallies been correct. Still great fun and excitement was had by all involved.

Advanced Soccer School Trip

Saturday 6th October - kick off 3.00pm

The bus will be leaving Newquay at 11.00 a.m. arriving at the Exeter ground at around 1.00 pm. This will give us an opportunity to have a tour around St James Park stadium and have some lunch before the match.

Tickets to the game are free for all children courtesy of Exeter City. The ticket price for Adults is yet to be confirmed but is expected to be in the region of £10.

We have made arrangements with A2B travel to hire a double decker bus which seats up to 80 people. The cost of travel will be £5 per person for both children and adults.

John has arranged a trip to Exter City for all members of the advanced soccer school. Further details will appear here shortly. Tickets for up to 60 children have kindly been donated free by ECFC - parents wil be asked to pay the normal charge unfortunately.
